What is chilled transport?
It is the logistics service that moves goods under controlled positive temperature, keeping them in optimal condition throughout the journey. It is used above all for perishables: fresh food, flowers, medicines, cosmetics and any item sensitive to heat or temperature change.
How does it differ from frozen transport?
In the range. Chilled works in positive temperature, from 0 ºC to +8 ºC; frozen at −18 ºC or below. They are different units and protocols, although on some routes we can combine them in a dual-temperature vehicle.
What cooling system do the vehicles carry?
Refrigerated bodies with an autonomous cooling unit that regulates temperature continuously, plus a probe and logger that document the whole journey and raise an alert if the reading leaves the agreed range.
What are the requirements for transporting chilled food?
Keeping the cold chain unbroken at all times, using vehicles with approved refrigerated bodies and temperature control, complying with the health and transport regulations in force, and guaranteeing correct handling and traceability of the goods.
Do you accept shipments of just a few pallets?
Yes, through consolidated chilled transport: we group your load with others compatible in temperature band and destination, and you pay for the space you occupy rather than for the whole vehicle.
