The APQ zone is here, not in another province
Our APQ zone is at the Valle del Almanzora industrial estate, in Cuevas del Almanzora, inside our own premises: 1,500 square metres licensed since 2017 for the storage of chemical products, able to take ADR goods. It is not space rented from a third party, nor a warehouse we run on somebody else's behalf.
For a company in Almería that solves a very specific problem: packaged chemical products cannot be kept in just any warehouse. They need a licensed facility, with zones separated according to which substances cannot sit together, containment for spills, and staff trained to handle them. Building all that yourself is a long and expensive project; using ours is simply hiring a service.
What chemical products we store in the province
Packaged and palletised goods, classified and placed according to what they cannot share a zone with:
Treatment and fertiliser products that arrive in bulk by season and leave in stages towards the Poniente and the Campo de Níjar.
Products for desalination, drinking water and wastewater treatment, with sharp incompatibilities between families that have to be kept in separate zones.
Packaged goods that must be kept away from heat sources, in a zone of their own, with the fire safety measures their classification requires.
Raw materials and process aids that wait in the warehouse until the plant calls for them, without taking up room inside the works.
Resins, fillers, polishes and surface treatments supplying the marble processing workshops.
Products classified as dangerous for transport, arriving and leaving in our own ADR lorries without changing operator.
Licensing your own APQ facility, or using ours
Opening an APQ facility is not a matter of putting up a wall. It means a project drawn up by a qualified engineer, meeting the separation distances and fire protection your product's classification demands, filing the responsible declaration with the authorities and, from then on, keeping the facility up to standard with its periodic checks and inspections indefinitely. It is an investment that only pays off if the volume is large and steady.
Storing the product in an APQ zone that is already licensed and running changes the equation: you pay for the space you use. And because the warehouse and the lorries belong to the same company, stock movements and ADR transport are planned together, without the hazardous goods changing hands between whoever holds them and whoever moves them.
What we handle in the Cuevas del Almanzora APQ zone
Why store your chemical products with us in Almería
1,500 m² of APQ zone in order since 2017, inside our premises in Cuevas del Almanzora.
Very few warehouses in Almería can take ADR goods: most of this product ends up leaving the province.
The same operator holds the goods and moves them, with accredited drivers and our own Safety Adviser.
Separation by incompatibility to rule out dangerous reactions between substances that must not sit together.
You hire the space you need, with no project, no licence and no periodic inspections on your side.
More than thirty years operating from the Levante almeriense, with the traffic office on the same site.
Inside the APQ zone
A licensed, clearly marked area with zones separated by type of substance, containment across the whole floor and direct access to the loading area and the A-7 slip road.
Collection and delivery across the province
We collect and deliver in the Levante and the Valle del Almanzora (Vera, Pulpí, Huércal-Overa), the industrial estates around the city and the Port of Almería, the Campo de Níjar, the Macael area and across the Poniente almeriense (El Ejido, Roquetas de Mar, Vícar, La Mojonera, Adra). Anything leaving the province connects with our national and European routes.
Frequently asked questions
Where exactly is the APQ zone?
At Polígono Industrial Valle del Almanzora, 48, in Cuevas del Almanzora (04610), in the Levante almeriense, with a direct slip road onto the A-7. It is our head office: the warehouse, the APQ zone, the outdoor yard and the traffic office are all there.
What products can you take?
It depends on their classification. Before committing to anything we ask for the safety data sheet and the CLP labelling, look at what the product is incompatible with and which zone it needs, and confirm whether it fits. We would rather say no in good time than accept goods we cannot place properly.
Do you store products in bulk or in tanks?
We work with packaged and palletised goods: drums, jerrycans, sacks and IBC containers on pallets. Bulk storage in tanks is a different facility under different regulations, and it is not what we offer.
Can I hire storage on its own, without the transport?
Yes. Some customers only need the licensed square metres and move the product themselves. That said, the advantage of having it all here is that stock departures and the ADR lorry are planned in the same traffic office, so hiring both together usually works out better.
If I store my product here, does that remove any obligations for me?
It removes the obligation to hold and maintain a licensed storage facility, which is the expensive part. What does not change are any obligations you have as manufacturer, importer or distributor of the product — classification, labelling, safety data sheets — which remain yours. If you are unsure about your case, tell us when we quote and we will set out in writing which part we take on.
