A daily working area, not an occasional destination

Our base is in Cuevas del Almanzora, in the Levante Almeriense, just over half an hour from the Region. Murcia and Almería form a single fresh produce corridor: the same seasons, often the same customer loading in both provinces and, quite frequently, one shipment made up between the two.

The Region grows almost all year round — leafy greens and broccoli in winter, stone fruit in spring and summer, citrus and table grapes after that — so there is no off-season here. We work with cooperatives, marketing companies and packhouses across the Region.

What we load in the Region

Fresh Murcian produce, at the range and within the delivery window each crop calls for:

Lettuce, celery and leafy greens Campo de Cartagena

Iceberg, romaine, celery and leaf from the great winter growing area, calling for the lowest range and the tightest deliveries of the whole scale.

Broccoli and brassicas Around 2 ºC

Produce that loses quality as soon as the temperature rises: it travels pre-cooled and with no waiting on the bay, at either end.

Artichoke and winter vegetables Vega del Segura

Crops from the Murcian market gardens to national platforms and European markets, as full or combined loads.

Stone fruit Cieza and the Guadalentín

Peach, nectarine, flat peach and apricot, with a very concentrated season and produce that tolerates neither bruising nor delay.

Citrus and table grapes 8 ºC to 10 ºC

Oranges, lemons and mandarins from the Vega, and table grapes from the Altiplano and the Guadalentín, each with its own storage range.

A corridor we run every day

Almería and Murcia are worked as a single loading area, and with fresh produce that has a very concrete consequence: we can make up a full truck between the two provinces on the same day, instead of leaving the goods in cold store waiting for a full load to come together.

It also means the loading time can be matched to the packing time. With leafy greens and broccoli, where produce is hydrated and cooled before loading, that coordination counts for more than the kilometres in between.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a base in Murcia?

Our head office is in Cuevas del Almanzora, in the Levante Almeriense, just over half an hour from the Region. In practice we work Murcia every day, with the same response times as in our own province.

Can you make up a full truck between Murcia and Almería?

Yes, and it is very common: the two provinces form a single corridor and their seasons overlap. If your shipment does not fill a vehicle, we combine it with another load in the area, and the price usually works out considerably better than a dedicated trip.

Do you load at the packhouse?

Yes. We take the pre-cooled vehicle to the packhouse bay and load there, so the temperature record covers the entire shipment. With leafy greens and broccoli we match the loading time to the packing time, so the produce does not sit waiting on the bay.

Do you take Murcian produce to Europe?

Yes. We run regular routes to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and the United Kingdom, as full loads or consolidated.
